H2 Mathematics
Prospective students who wish to pursue Mathematics as a H2 subject need to know two things: 1. what they need to know before taking the course (pre-requisite knowledge) and 2. what is the syllabus content. 

Pre-requisite Knowledge
In SEAB Syllabus, they call this "Assumed Knowledge" - and these are topics that were already covered in 'O' Level Additional Mathematics. You may ask, "But I do not have any A Math background. Can I still take H2 Math?" Our answer to that question will be "YES!" - with a little more help from your tutors or from us. Here's a quick summary of what you are expected to already know:
  • Equations and Inequalities
  • Partial Fractions
  • Polynomials, Factor and Remainder Theorem
  • Indices, Surds and Logarithms
  • Coordinate Geometry (in Add Math)
  • Trigonometric Functions, Graphs, Equations and Identites
  • Differentiation and Its Applications
  • Integration and Its Applications

General Syllabus Outline
'A' Level Mathematics at H2 Level involve much more consistency (burning midnight oil is unlikely going to help!) and preparation. So one key step is to know what to expect in the coming months. A very very brief (and we mean really brief!) summary of the content are as follows:
  • Pure Math (70% of marks allocated over 2 papers)
    • Equations and Inequalities, Functions, Graphing Techniques and Transformation
    • Vectors
    • Calculus (Including Differentiation, Integraion and Differential Equations)
    • Sequences and Series, Arithmetic and Geometric Progression
    • Complex Numbers
  • Statistics (30% of marks allocated as a whole, or 60% in one paper)
    • ​Probability and Permutation/Combination
    • Discrete Random Variables
    • Binomial Distribution
    • Normal Distribution
    • Sampling
    • Hypothesis Testing
    • Correlation and Regression
